Intelligence Can Be Nurtured
Why do many children in Primary Schools struggle with Maths?
A child's performance in Mathematics during Primary School depends very much on the type of foundation he/she was given in preschools. Without a strong foundation, children struggle to understand key concepts taught at primary school level.
It is not sufficient is able to rote count to a 100 or be able to execute arithmetic questions. Numbers are mere symbols. What’s more important is for children to understand the relationships between numerical figures and be able to visualize such mathematical relationships.
What's special about Thinking Loft Mathematics School Readiness Program is the focus on using visual tools and models to help lay the foundation for children to understand complex mathematical relationships.
